The Big East will be held at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island, NY this year. Since this is the first time the outdoor meet has been held in over a decade, it's a good good opportunity for an alumni get together. In addition to St John’s, the conference is comprised of powerhouse teams: Villanova, Marquette and a much improved DePaul among others. FOOD: THERE WILL BE LUNCH We’ll be setting up a tent at the top of the Stadium and providing lunch for our alums so you can catch up with former teammates while taking in the meet. The alum group will be picking up the tab for lunch. MEET PREVIEW St John’s has a good young team paced by sophomore Leah Anderson who has been ripping up the Track in the Sprints. SJU has 2 strong sprint relay teams with the 4 X 400 currently leading the Big East rankings. Expect the throws led by junior indoor shot put champ Amarys Berry, senior hammer thrower Jennifer Odoemene - and sophomore javelin specialist Esmeralda Reyes to feature. Freshman indoor Long and Triple jump runner up Ja'Tae Joyner is expected to put points on the board along with last year’s returning first and second placers in the heptathlon Senior Eboni Birch and Sophomore Antonia Frazier.
